We aim to uplift local communities, enhance agricultural education, and promote sustainable farming practices. We have been sourcing locally and sharing best practices are important. De Heus had set itself a goal at the start of the operations: in 5 years’ time sourcing at least 50% of all ingredients locally. In a challenging environment De Heus Ghana has been able to source about 60% of the ingredients locally already.
